An all-time track great at both New Britain High School, 1957-1960, and Boston University, 1960-1964...key member of Golden Hurricanes' New England and state indoor, outdoor and open championship teams...in 1960 set state and school record of 48.3 in the 440...ran powerful anchor leg on relay teams...was also superb in the 100, 220 and 600...twice an All-American selection...dangerous running back on strong 1958 and 1959 NBHS football teams...at Boston University represented the Terriers in many major events, including IC4A and Knights of Columbus meets, and the Penn Relays...in 1964 received B.U's prestigious E. Ray Speare Award as the outstanding student-athlete...has touched the lives of many as teacher and coach.
