A list of the all-time best football players at New Britain HIgh School...and it would be a very long list...could begin with guard Bill Gray who was the only member of both the 1936 and 1938 teams which played post-season games at Miami and Baton Rouge, La...in fact, he was the captain of the '38 powerhouse lead by the legendary Coach "Chick" Shea...All-State guard in successive years, '37 and '38...went on to play at Washington and Lee University.
