"Charlie B".....leading sports figure for many years, and great friend of youth.....associated with legendary Emeralds' softball teams which participated in three national championship tournaments and were ranked among the best teams in the country.....was honored by the "Friends of Football" at New Britain High School in 2001.....acknowledged his great loyalty to the program.....was an original member of the New Britain Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee.....served from 1995 to 2002.....died on August 3, 2002.
