One of the country's leading amateur golfer for many years.....prized victories, and there are many, include two British Amateur titles.....Received Gold Key from Connecticut Sportswriters Alliance in 1975, and is in the Duke University Athletic Hall of Fame, and locally, the VFW Post 511 Sports Hall of Fame.
