Outstanding American and fine athlete.....3-sport star at New Britain High School, and stellar halfback on school's 1936 State Championship football team.....believed by many to have been all-time best baseball player at NBHS.....signed by Detroit Tigers.....class of 1942 at Georgetown University.....Landers' recreation director for many years, and highly regarded Dusty League baseball and basketball player.....during World War II was 1st Lieutenant and U.S. pilot in China/Burma and India theaters of operation.
