Herb Kopf
Brother of Bill Kopf.....fine all-around athlete at New Britain High School.....starred on Washington and Jefferson College football team which battled to a 0-0 tie with the University of California in the 1922 Rose Bowl.....returned to Pasadena in 1934 as an assistant coach for Columbia which defeated Stanford, 7-0, in a major upset.....went on to a career in coaching.....was the head coach of the National Football League's Boston Yankees during the seasons of 1944, 1945 and 1946.
