One of the city's total sports activists, from Little League baseball on up.....coached in St. Francis Middle School basketball program, 1981-86; President of Walicki-A.W. Stanley Little League, 1983-87; Director, Mangan Baseball League, 1985-90; head boys basketball coach, Goodwin Tech, 1987-96; member of New Britain Parks and Recreation Commission and New Britain Stadium Building Committee, 1993-95; served as Director of Police Athletic League's program; head coach of baseball at Hartford Public High School, and member of Connecticut High School Coaches Association.
