John "Mickey" Noonan
One of New Britain's best ever baseball players.....played consistently as a catcher for over 30 years.....member of professional teams in both Pennsylvania and Virginia.....starred locally with semi-pro teams Cremos and Pioneers.....Industrial League's Most Valuable Player while a standout with Stanley Works in 1931.....became respected umpire when playing career came to an end.
