An all-time three-sport star at New Britain High School, and a great end on Yale University football teams, 1946 to 1949....key player on 1940 NBHS State Champions, and an All-Stater on the 1941 powerhouse lead by legendary Coach "Chick" Shea.....during the 1941-42 basketball schedule set Red and Gold one-season record for points scored, 238, which worked out to a 11.3 scoring average.....strong right-handed pitcher for the Sheamen....at Yale, following World War II military service, was a dominant pass-receiver, 70 catches, five touchdowns and a 10.6 average per catch...totals ranked among Bulldogs' leaders for many years.
