Outstanding football figure.....starred as end on New Britain High School's 1955 State Championship team, and was co-captain of the 1962 Central Connecticut State College (now CCSU) team.....went into long career in coaching.....head coach, Bridgton Academy, 1963, New England Patriots' assistant coach, 1981.....served on staffs at Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Navy and Virginia.....interim head coach at Navy, 2001.
