Outstanding athlete, football, baseball, basketball, at both New Britain High School 1935-37, and the Teachers College of Connecticut (CCSU), 1938-1942.....played on 1936 state championship NBHS football team which defeated Miami High, 32-13, in a post-season game.....was member of 1939 team at TCC which posted a perfect 6-0 record under Coach Jim Kaiser.....served in U.S. Army Air Force in WWII.....was a well-respected baseball umpire in the area for many years.....had impressive career as a teacher/administrator.....died in 1979.
