Outstanding basketball player, great offensive talents.....led powerful New Britain Machine teams to a number of Industrial League championships during the period of 1939-50.....playing career gave way to U.S. Navy service during World War II .....his unstoppable "bank shot" is part of Dusty League "lore".....transplanted Pennsylvanian also starred for other prominent teams in the area, including the New Britain Emeralds and the Bristol Tramps.
